I have an Iphone 8+ and a Subaru 2017 (no carplay at that time) and have been looking for something that would hold my phone when I'm navigating in unfamiliar areas. I tried them all. I tried the CD holder (blocks my screens). Tried the vent holder (my phone was way too heavy and it was too wobbly) and I tried the stand that attaches to the lighter (couldn't see the screen properly). This is the PERFECT solution. I can stick it over the dash behind the wheel or the hump in the center part of my Subaru Console. Easy to use, easy to install. No sticker mess and no suction cups. it stays put even on bumps. Put this in my wife's 2015 jeep rinagade I needed dual sided electric tape to get it to grip the dash but works grate keeps your eyes looking forward and ez access to the screen

I love the idea of this for Lyft or Uber but the Apps can't be made to work sideways view. If you could make one of these to stand upright and have a top cover to shade from the sun and glare would be awesome. Could not use it unfortunately.
